ATC Radar Systems - A World Leader
Raytheon Canada Limited has developed, and continues to provide to aviation authorities around the world, a full family of civil and military, short-range and long-range fully solid-state digital ATC radars. Continuous research and development has kept Raytheon at the forefront of radar technology. Raytheon's solid-state ATC Primary Surveillance Radar (PSR) systems are fully field-proven, mature systems being built to inventory and installed and operating in numerous countries around the world, including Canada, China, India, Hong Kong, Oman, and Switzerland - a technology lead years ahead of any of all competitors.
In fact, Raytheon Systems Canada has sold more solid-state primary surveillance radars than any of its competitors. Raytheon's international experience in ATC radar systems is extensive, ranging from individual airport installations to country-wide, multiple-site turnkey systems.
In Canada, Raytheon completed the Radar Modernization Project (RAMP), the world's largest network of fully solid-state primary radars, mono- pulse secondary radars and automation systems. This wealth of experience and field-proven systems has been an important factor in the choice of Raytheon Canada radars for many international ATC radar projects, as well as the recent Digital Airport Surveillance Radar (DASR) Project award to Raytheon Company by the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
